Our trainings yield serious improvement in deficiency-free operations and staff understanding. Attendees will learn skills and tools necessary to apply State Standards in day-to-day operations of an HCBS-certified non-medical home care agency as well as how to assess & monitor compliance on an ongoing basis to avoid common pitfalls. You will learn the skills necessary to show a clear understanding and appropriate application of HCBS Volume 8 Standards to maximize compliance and minimize deficiencies. After this course, you will be able to:
Demonstrate an understanding of the basic survey components
Demonstrate an understanding of the minimum standards required for HCBS EBD Home Care Agency Standards, and how to evidence them in documentation
List at least three trends in citing deficiencies
Identify weakness in your agency relative to commonly cited deficiencies
Develop actions plans for improving identified weaknesses
Discuss how to prepare agency staff for surveys
Continuing Education Units
Learners receive up to two (2) clock hours in a Certificate of Attendance at the completion of the workshop, course evaluation and competency exam.
