Colorado Home Care Licensure Compliance (Ch. 2 & Ch. 26)
This 8-hour refresher course is designed for experienced home care administrators, managers, and alternates who are responsible for maintaining licensure compliance and survey readiness in Colorado.
The course provides a structured review of 6 CCR 1011-1 Chapter 2 (General Licensure Standards) and Chapter 26 (Home Care Agency Standards), reinforcing the administrator’s role as the agency’s compliance and performance leader.
Through eight focused sections, learners revisit administrator duties, sources of regulatory authority, licensure standards, legal responsibilities, state and federal laws, survey preparation, and Performance Management, including the required Quality Management Program (QMP) and Annual Organizational Evaluation (AOE).
Special emphasis is placed on how surveyors connect documentation, quality systems, risk management, and leadership oversight during inspections. The course clarifies expectations for both Skilled (Class A) and Nonmedical (Class B) agencies and reinforces how QMP findings must drive corrective actions and be reflected in the Annual Evaluation.
This course meets Colorado requirements for annual administrator and manager training and is appropriate for all licensed home care agency types.
This course does not cover:
Federal Medicare Conditions of Participation, Medicaid or HCBS program certification standards.
